Sugar Cookies

-Mix together in large bowl or mixer-

2 eggs

2 sticks butter

1 cup sugar & 1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup oil

2 teaspoons vanilla

-Mix together in speparate bowl-

4 cups plus 2 tablespoons flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 teaspoon salt

Mix well the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a handheld mixer or standing mixer. Refrigerate over night. Scoop cookies onto cookie sheet. Use a glass to flatten them (grease the bottom and dip in granulated sugar before flattening). Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle decorative topping on or before baking, or ice cookie before decorating. Makes about 24 cookies.
